Hello All,

I also posted the same thread on Satellite TV forum. I am posting it here as well

I am having a problem with video reception from my HD Receiver. I have a Bell HD receiver - model 6131. It has a HDMI output. I would like to connect it to my Acer 22" monitor. The monitor only has a DVI-D (single link) input. So to connnect my HD receiver with my computer monitor, I bought a Nexxtech HDMI to DVI converter (http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?langauage=en-ca&product=1518870). Everything seemed to be working fine. But here I am having a problem. I am receiving the display on my monitor. The display stays on the monitor for a few seconds and then disappears. Again it appears after few seconds and then disappears. So this repeats again & again.

I know that DVI is compatible with HDMI. So I don't understand where the problem is. Can someone suggest where the problem can be? Did anyone else face a similar problem. Any advice is welcome.

Thanks
Sathya
