I have a Tevion TDR930 DVD Recorder,a TEAC MV-6094 VCR & a Digitech AR-1822 Digital Video Enhancer & Stabilizer (looks the same as a Sima CT-200 except it doesn't have the mode switch on the side). When I try to transfer store bought tapes, tapes taped off Tv & tapes from my old Sony Camcorder, the picture goes from full colour to allmost no colour at all repeatedly. I've tried :- using 2 other VCRs,
tried new & old cables,
cleaned the heads on the VCR,
had the tapes cleaned at Blockbuster in a tape cleaning machine,
downloaded diagrams to make sure the stabilizer is connected correctly,
not using the stabilizer,
pluging the stabilizer into a socket different to where the rest of the equipment is plugged,
after doing all this the result is the same - picture colour fading in & out.
When the VCR is connected to the TV the tapes play fine, ie no change in colour.
I've connected VCR to TV, then TV>Stabilizer, then stbilizer> DVD Rec. Still no difference.
What's going on? I'm getting very frustrated by this!
Is the problem the DVD Rec. ? Or the VCR? Or the Stabilizer?
Somebody please help
