Hi

My denon 2900 dvd player has started to play up. It has an intermittent fault in picking up and playing dvd's. I took it to Lintone Audio in Gateshead who after charging me £23 to look at it told me it needs a new optical unit.

price for optical unit £57.50
Labour .... wait for it...... £315.10 !!!

My question is can I buy an optical unit myseld and is it easy to fit??
