Seems that my Go Video DVD recorder no longer recognizes any discs.

It doesn't even recognize blank media and ask for initialization.

What is going on here?

This machine has been FLAWLESS in it's performance till now.

It accepts and reads the cleaning disc just fine. Picture, audio, everytning.

Any other disc. NO

PLEASE HELP!

The only thing you can do is open it and clean the lens and spindle with a q-tip wet with alcohol.

DVD recorder burners just don't last very long. It's probably dead.
