I'm trying to wire up a vhs/dvd combo player/recorder that someone bought and the problem is getting the tv signal into the recorder. It only has component or svideo inputs. The tv has both coax and svideo inputs (no outputs). Is there anyway to get the tv signal from the coax to the recorder?

I've searched and searched and can't find a rf modulator that has svideo or component OUTPUTS.

You need a source other than the TV. What are you trying to record from? Antenna? Cable?
