I'm not sure what yo mean with "not the cords"

And I don't know what yo mean yor "TV disconnects once a day?"

The analog channels can show snow
The digital channels when disconnects it should show black screen

If yo got cable service
Yo can connect HD with box
But yo can also get HD without box if yo use a splitter

In another word
Yo can go from coaxial cord to TV with no box but yo have to scan the channels
In yor menu look for scan channels

I hope this helps
