I bought a SONY WEGA HD TV, 5 speaker surround sound system, and a Sony S-Master "thing" a few years ago -- this is an amplifier perhaps? It has a 5 disc player, but stopped playing DVD's. I bought a cheap DVD player on sale, got it hooked up to TV. I'm assuming I should get an HDMI cable since that slot exists on the TV -- that's best, yes? But how do I get surround sound set up now? No hookup for speakers on the DVD player. Can I hook it up to s-master and run speakers through there? Do I need to get this S-Master fixed and if it works, use it instead of DVD player? I didn't realize the S-master was such an intergral part of the system...I'm learning. Please tell me what to do and thanks much -- want to use the whole system with surround sound, have no idea what it might cost to fix S-Master. |

All in one systems don't usually have a digital audio input, if the s-master does, you can use it. If it doesn't have a digital input, your best bet is probably to just buy a receiver or HTIB. |
