So wondering, that the only solution to get the channels back is to install 118 satellite dish!!!!!!!!!I wont get on 61.5 satellite.

Is that correct?

Guys
148W is very far from Toronto and Montreal, the best solution is buy a 33" and a special LNB.
So you will get many more channels with it.

Boba check with: http://www.dishpointer.com/

From toronto
91.0W Nimiq 1 Distance: 37915km
148.0W EchosStar 1 Distance: 40943km

I agree with you that, from earth all satellites are + - 23000 miles , not from you.
With the angle you lose signal because of more atmosphere is between you and the satellite.

No matter what size Dish you use.
From Montreal and Toronto your Dish
Elevation to 148.oW is less then 4.o
degrees almost hitting the ground.

Jack shawn

i have same LNB with motorized dish, you can't get those channels on 118.8W, but if you are in Middle or West Coast try with Echo 1 148W.

The QPH-031 can't get circular low Freq.

Where are you located (state or province)?

Jack
Those channels are disappear recently and are on lyngsat list but anybody can get it now.
The only way is 118.7W and 148W.

Buy this special LNB and add it on side of your actual QPH-031 and you will get all channels you want, you hook it in port 3 and set it in Motor as User
insted of Usals.

Benz
For 118.8W

Use this setting:
LNB Type: standard
LNB Freq: 10750
Tp Freq: 12094 (Strong Tp)

Do you have only this LNB on your dish?
Where are you located(state)?

There is still a lot of confusion and questioning about some simple aspects of satellite reception.
1. 148W and 61.5 are situated at extreme West and East respectively, and are usable only in those areas properly.
So forget about doing calesthnics to bring in 148W from Toronto and Montreal or getting 61.5W from Vancouver
2. The International channels are being moved to 118.7 (Anik3). You must have a minimum 33" Dish and a special LNB for this.
<b> So please stop asking questions about whether you can get it on your old LNBs<b>. The cost of this LNB is only abut $20-25 and if you do not want to afford this, then you are wasting a lot of your and everybody's time.
3. Look at his site
http://transatelectronics.com
and specifically this URL and get all your installation and other relevant information.
http://transatelectronics.com/store/lnbs-1187%C2%B0-lnb_CA66_100

The installation and scanning has quirks with different receivers, but try various things and you WILL get the channels.

Benz Nalin not read your post in totality for sure

You can get 148W with your dish from your position but get 118.8W and 119W on same LNB is the best.
