hey there,
I have a samsung R150. been using it for the past few months. worked great. recently it no longer recognises empty dvds that ive always used, even different kinds. I keep getting the same message " disc cannot be played".
I have gotten a few to work, that's after inserting several.
I cleaned the lens(dry) , but to no effect. thought of doing a firmware update, but the firmware on the recorder is more recent than the one availabe on Samsung's website.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You could try opening and cleaning the lens with a q-tip wet with alcohol. Samsuck makes lousy recorders, if it doesn't work it's toast. |
