Hey guys..just found ths site...a guy at work is moving outta the country and is willing to sell his dish and his receiver to me for $150 CDN...should i Buy it? Will the new cards work with this guy's receiver? Thanxs in advance. |

instead of starting another thread, I thought I'd ask a question as well since I'm a newbie. The home I just purchased has a dish (no receiver). Which receiver should I buy on Ebay? Does it depend on which subscriber's services I want? Also, I noticed on Ebay all these cards being sold (ROM, P4, etc.), some of which need to be programmed. If already programmed, how long are they good for? Is there an expiration date? If it's unprogrammed, who can program it for me? thx in advance, and if you know of a url which is a good primer on Satellite 101, I'd appreciate it. |
