I am trying to combined cable signal and FTA satellite signal from T-5KU feed into single coaxial cable, using one diplexer switch with one port pass DC outside and one inside to separate two signals, using ( HOLLAND-DPD2 switch).
I can get only one signal from cable but not from satellite dish (T-5KU).
Every thing wired according to diagram I found in internet.
What I am doing wrong.

Try just running the 2 cables (sat/cable tv) into an A/B switch, then to TV |

A single diplexer works good to combine 2 things, like a sat cable and a roof UHF cable into a sat receiver to receive BOTH satellite channels and locals from the roof UHF antenna. I'm not sure what that 2nd diplexer you have is doing other than messing up your satellite channels. You should try an A/B switch there instead. |

What satellite is T-5Ku?
Is yor dish DTV?
What LNBs are yo using? KuHi or KuLo?
Are yo using any additional type of switch?
?
Yo also have to try satellite straight to see if yo get satellite signal i.e. I wouldn't use Diplexer before I make sure yo are getting signal first by using a coupler from sat to rcvr (no cable TV)
Finally Holland Diplexers are the cheapest diplexers
I'm not saying it won't work
But it does have some compatibility with selective DTV
I have a feeling yo got a wiring issue more than a diplexer issue
If yo answer my top 4 questions and tell me more about yor connecters I can pin point exact problem for yo

Like justforhaha's told you all you need an A/B switch.
A) connect your incoming cable wire to your cable receiver.
With a short jumper connect one end to your cable receiver
where is mark TV and the other end to A on your A/B switch.
B) Follow the same procedure as above
for your FTA satellite and connect to B of the A/B switch.
C) Now connect wire from the center fitting of your
A/B switch and connect the other end to your TV.
Switch to A you on cable.
Switch to B you are on your FTA satellite.
BTW T-5 was Telstar 5

Thank you all for trying to help, to answer some of the questions.
TK-5U, Now is called Galaxy 25 @ 97.o*W.
Dish is 30” wingard, LNB is standard KU band.
Yes if I hookup dish directly to receiver it work.(Pansat 2700)
The whole idea to use diplexer switch is not to run extra wire from outside to inside and use existing coaxial cable.
And finally, I am trying to combine signal from Cable Company (not form antenna on the roof) and FTA signal from dish feed into single coaxial cable.

Yo should be able to combine 97W with basic cable service
Just like wiring connection above
2 Possible problems
- I would buy 2 more diplexers other than Holland to replace it
- Possible Pansuck has 2 internal damaged capacitors
But I would replace 2 diplexers first
Try e-bay
BTW
97W was called Intel-sat-5 (I5)
Yor tuner is at least 6 years old
Cuz it predates that name as well

There is obviously no problem with the receiver , since he says it works fine when connected directly to the dish. The problem is that 2nd diplexer. Again I would use an AB switch, but let him do whatever he wants. |

If it is
Yo have to trust me on this
When yo reverse bias 2nd diplexer it splits combined frequency to 2 bands
But if receiver impedance is changed it may not split them properly
AC is dependant on Capacitance and inductance it completely can change freq divide
Capacitance, Inductance, resistance combined called impedance measured in Ohms
Most receivers should read 75 OHMs
But measured as AC output load 75 Ohms
If his capacitors are shot
There will be no Imp recognition
So there is always 2 possibilties
I advised him to replace both diplexers first
If he does and the same thing happens
Then it is due to capacitance requirement
This is how diplexer works
- First diplexer combines first Hi wave 950MHz-2000MHz with second wave 5Hz- 900MHz to become one band pass full sweep 5Hz to 2000MHz
- Second diplexer when reverse bias it splits them back to 5MHz-900MHz to one coax and second to 950MHz-2000MHz on second coax
Satellite frequency is usually the high freq 950 to 2000
Cable 5 to 900
It's a freq divider/combiner
Basic AC electronics
IM ALMOST CERTAIN IF HE CHANGES HOLAND DIPLEXER IT WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM
But can't rule out Pansuck as a possible suspect
He can also try another receiver besides Pansuck and see for yorself if my theory is right |

A simple spitter from dolar store works great. Dollarama donates 2 for buck.
Diplexer is better than one from dollar store though.
your problem is two diplexer. it may work in some cases but usually the way you showing u need something else than second diplxer. switch, splitter etc.
Also,some diplxers do not support dish signals. |

Only if it has correct frequency combiner
It must have 2GHz
Not even 1GHz will work
So taking a splitter off the shelf and plug it yo'll get whatever yo got

Only DTV Ka and cable or wild-blue
Cuz Ka converts down to 750MHz
And Cable use 900MHz
Ku signal and Cable diplexer is a piece-a-cake |

I changed diplexer switch with much batter switch is not working. Will change the receiver with deferent one as soon as I get hands on one.
The pansat 2700 is brand new, or should I say pansuck…..
