Hello,
I have a 42" Toshiba LCD TV (42HL57)

The specs say it does not have an ATSC tuner. Is there still some way I can use an antenna to receive an HD picture, or do I need some sort of tuner?

If you want OTA HD you need a tuner. You can buy HD tuners for a fair price on ebay but the one I have, Hisense, has some audio sync issues. The better quality ones like Motorola aren't cheap. |

For that price you can get the Philips/Magnavox 160gig HDD recorders with ATSC tuner. The Walmart near me had the Philips for $200 last I knew. I'm not a Philips fan, they are actually Funai, but people on VideoHelp seem to like them. |
