Hey guys, I have 2 Viewsat Ultras. I wanted to take the Satellite and Channel information from one and transfer it to the other. Is there any way to do that using the USB ?? I know I did it once before, but I completely forgot how. Any help is much appreciated. |

i don't know about viewsat ultra, but i can tell u about kbox.. (should be similar). if u go to menu and find tranfer data, or usb etc.. and it will say transfer channel data to usb, (this option will come up after u enter ur usb).. and then save it (u can rename it , whatever u wanna call it).. and then go to other viewsat ultra and now this time plug in usb and move the right arrow until u see save channel data.. and u can save it that way.. i think it should be similar to viewsat ultra.. |

Anony Mouse and Sada On Viewsat Ultra we cannot transfert data to USB but on Serial port thats possible. Anony go to http://www.viewsatusa.com/support.htm and download "General Satellite Info File (compatible with Platinum, Lite, Xtreme, Ultra only !) Unzip it and load it in receiver. If you think you miss some channel, just do a blind scan on sats and all TPs coming |

Sada I dont know why, but support on Viewsat is very good and its very rare we need to do a manual TP search. But i agree with you that can be considered. We are only User not Fabricant. |

Thanks guys for all the help. Just decided to do everything manually. I know I transfered the channels and satellites to a USB before. Just don't remember how. Maybe it was a programming glitch that let me do it, but I remember going to "Receiver Upgrade" and hitting the "F" keys to load channel and satellite data onto my USB. Not working now though. Strange. |
