Within the next couple of months I'm going to begin upgrading my HT. I'm starting with the TV and receiver. I'm going with LCD - one, I like the picture on some of the models I've seen; two, I'm in the military and when I move (which is often), the military will not cover plasma TV's. They put it in the same category as particle board (too easy to damage).

I'm looking at $2-2.5K for the TV and around $1-1.3K for receiver.

I like the Sony XBR's I've seen and some of the Samsungs. For receivers, I currently have a Denon and liked it, but I'm not married to any brand.
