HLR5078W 2years old out of warranty...
The first symptom was my wife heard it make a loud noise. I replaced the bulb and same thing happens. I turn on the set the bulb lights up and I hear the fan running. About a minuted later I hear a click ( like a hot strike). Something is not letting the set kick on. Before the first symptom mentioned above, the wheel was making a little noise and was progressively getting worse.
Will the TV not come on due to the color wheel? I am wanting to slide out the whole light engine just to check it out visually. Oh by the way the light tunnel is out of whack, during all of this I noticed the vertical grey bar about an 1" wide on the left hand side of the set.

Color Wheel BP96-01103A is my part
The tunnel I am not sure.

Should I slide out the engine and check it out? Order a light tunnel.

Thanks to all on the forum.
