ok so ive got 1 satellite outside and im running a viewsat lite cause im cheap as fu*k ...when bell went out last night i moved my dish over to dn and tried to scan channels ...it locked on to the transponders but did not download any channels ....so i thought no problem went and found a channel list and downloaded it think it should be all good cause the signal and quality were both there but no luck all it says it no audio or video ...i moved it back to bell and all was working fine this morning ..this also happened to my buddy who is running the same setup ..any 1 got any soloutions ???as to why this is happening or what i can do to fix it ??? |

im in ontario canada we use a regular 18 inch dish my buddy has a 33 inch dish ...thats not the problem we find the signal no problem as you realy only need to move it six inches right and left to pick up the signals ....the quality is there too its locking on to the trtansponders and stays locked likes its downloading channels but when its done scanning there are no channels ..like i said i used channel master to input lists but it came up as no audio no video ..i also tried installing the factory file and downloading the latest file but still no luck ive never seen this before im just wondering if dn changed it transponders ??? or are up to any other kind of bs ???? |

Look chris
Yor problem is so simple:
- Write down yor antenna setup
- Do factory default
- Select yor new desired sat
- Do auto Scan one sat at a time
- Do not do blind scan
- I repeat do not do blind scan
These symptoms are nothing but back engineered by nagra against VU-Sat receivers in general they got dead TP that actually shuts down signal
Do what I told yo up there
Yo'll be up and runing in few seconds
No need to reload bin
Come back and tell me how it worked
Just stay away from Jimmy the retard
He's got no clue about FTA |

this happens to me on the ultra it does not always keep the right keys for both dish and bev.
unplug your receiver from the wall for a few mins then back in on dish and let it try to find the keys for a while it will do it. but i have had the same problem switching from one to the other in the cheap way like that. |

try it:
All viewsat box
Go to Code menu
Select Nagra and on Dish 01 06 00 Dish 00 01 00 dish 01 01 00
Delete this 3 provider one by one with F3 on remote
"NEW" do same thing with all provider on Bev provider
09 07 00
09 06 00
09 05 00
09 01 00
08 01 00
no need to delete keys
load last bin for your box
turn autoroll on
Keep on
Bin and autoroll regenerete keys
Resolve problem with lost channel , autoroll, freeze and search signal
"Dont load factory bin"
Thats erase bad data in the box
For box who lost channel and sat setup
ENJOY TV
TESTED and work fine
New issue for problem on Viewsat

Kate those are different issues with keys
The specific problem with Chris is Blind Scan issue
There are some TPs as yo blind scan it kills Q signal on many VU-Sat receivers |

King i dont have any problem since i have deleted provider in keys menu, my VS work very fine, autoroll do what it supposed to do.Never i lost signal or channels.

My VS works fine without deleting provider
The provider code section is nothing but a manual data hex-key input
Nagra was morphing (changing) keys virtually which may have caused strange behaviour or bugs
Newer bins eliminated all those bugs
But yo gonna have to trust me on this
Most VS receivers as yo do blind scan they pickup some test channels created by DN/Nagra
As yo scan them they shut Q signal
Yo wanna believe me that's fine
Yo don't many others disagreed with me
Nagra tried so hard to make FTA receivers don't detect signal
I have been noticing that for more than a year |

King i do it manytime and no need to factory default or rescan all sats, that take only two minutes and it clear Ram.
I experiment many problem on viewsat receiver in past with time delay bog.
Now, never i load factory bin, which i think it was corrupted. I use it only for Night rider.
You can try it, you have nothing to lose.

I have tried all the types of Scans many times.Never had a problem with Power or
Blind Scan.
Sometimes Satellite or Auto Scan would not pickup all the TPs.
In my experience , Blind Scan is the way to go. |

Blind scan vary from one receiver to another
Blind scan can be also different in scan patterns based on number of manual TP edited
Blind scan can sensor TP different based on Internal clock frequency and LNB preset selection
Blind scan can pick and update various symbol rates based on frequency spacing selection
for example if set to 5, 6, ... 12
There are so many variables involved in choosing blind scan
To me blind scan is the only option if yo don't know what yor picking |
