I have a tv that doesn't have picture, the tv place says it needs a DM3 board??? for over 600.00 does anyone know a cheaper place to get one, or a part number so I can look? also is this worth fixing at all? thanks for any info. |

Frankly, why would you bother fixing it?
Chances are 50/50 that the board is your only problem. Replacing it may or may not fix it. Plus, if the board works you still have the rest of the set and all its components at the same age as when you bought it.
A new 50" set, of a more reputable brand, would only be a thousand or so.
I have come to the conclusion that these sets last 4-8 years at best and when they quit get new technology, better picture etc. Televisions today are throwaways..like a Bic razor. |
