Thanks Dracu-Laal the attachment is in unknown format i can't open it but thanks anyway I have WiNAVI AND WINMEPG I was hoping for something better. King I also have a ATI video card set up on an older Computer to record movies from the tv and a new windows media Computer also. But I am looking to convert all my DVD movies to a smaller file (AVI or DIVX) to store them on my USB 500 GB hard drive. i also want to know what is better AVI or DIVX or even MPEG? |

All about the same I would go with MPEG-I Flash by Macromedia (now Adobe) can be better Hardware capture is the key to convert an interlaced NTSC cheap software aren't good at all |

Divx movies use the avi file format and best but RMVB format by Realmedia achieves same quallity at 300-400mb as avi's at 700mb and will play as you downloading. Popular in china where they are way ahead of us in the copyright infringement game. |
