I have a 56" Samsung DLP (specifically an HLS-5686W) with an issue that I cannot seem to find discussed anywhere. When there is white at the top of the screen, like you might find in the bar with the scores shown during a sports program, the white area is trailing down underneath where it should be. Kind of hard to describe bit is a wispy, ghost-like effect.

I had a service tech out and he said that it is the white light bouncing off of the screen, back onto the mirror and then being reflected back onto the screen in the wrong location. I know the mirror and screen are fairly close together there at the top but I can't believe this is normal and don't recall it doing that when we got it. (The set is about 1 1/2 years old but it has been doing this for several months.) I have the extended warranty so it doesn't cost me anything to get someone out but I don't want to wait for another tech to tell me that is the way it is and there is nothing to be done.
