All of the sudden today my HL-R4667W DLP started making a very loud humming sound and the picture is messed up. It's like only some of the colors in the picture is showing so it looks kind of washed out.
I have found many posts that talk about the noise coming from the color wheel but no comments that indicate the color wheel causes the pic problems too? |

Alan,
The bad colorwheel will cause washout, overbleeds, and a non-smooth color transition in the picture. If it's humming as well then it makes me more certain that the colorwheel is bad.

Alan,
BTW your colorwheel is INFAMOUS for failing.. You may have a hard time finding that part.. I know SamsungParts is constantly on backorder for that part..
