I am finishing up all of my electrical wiring for an addition we are doing. I am pre-wiring for a projector in a media/rec room and would love some advice. So far I have wired a receptacle in the ceiling about 8" to the side of where the projector will be located. I plan on running conduit up in the ceiling joists from the component rack to the projector location. Should I terminate the conduit next to where the projector will be located opposite the receptacle (ie - a few inches off the center line of the room)? Also what type of blocking should I do to support the projector mount? Is the projector mount and the video feed for the projector often integrated so that I should run the conduit right down the centerline of the room so that it can feed through the projector mount? We don't plan on purchasing/installing a projector immediately but more likely 6-12 months after completion. Thanks for any advice.

Matt
