I have a Vivitek 42" DLP. I have had it just over 1 year. Couple of months ago the screen shifted upward leaving a 3/8" black line along the bottom of the screen. With tech support help, I was able to use the OSD to reduce the line to .25" but not completely gone. Four weeks ago, I replaced my lamp and the line still remained. In addition, two weeks ago the picture became significantly blurry. I was told over the phone by a repairman the blurry images are caused by a light engine. Is this true, since I understand it is a very costly repair? Also, is the black line on the bottom of the screen caused by the light engine as well? Thanks for your help and any insight into this problem.
