Remote to load the new bin? I connected my computer to the nfusion box. How do you update the bin by remote control? |

One of the items you will see referenced and used in the flashing of the bins is the data transfer cable used to transfer data (the bin software) from your personal computer to the receiver. The most common is the RS232 cable, which comes in two types being the straight and crossed (null modem) cables. As the name of cable type implies, the straight cable uses a straight pin-to-pin connection and the cross cable has crossed pin connections. The null modem (DM9) is used when “handshaking” communication is used between the devices. Your receiver type will dictate which type of cable to use and most guides and howto's will also let you know which to use. Most bin flashes that will not start are traced back to the wrong type of cable being used for the receiver. If you run into this problem, do not assume you have the correct cable just because it came with the receiver. The wrong cable being shipped does happen since the Dealer usually throws in a cable and diseqc switch as part of the sale. Some of the newer personal computers, specially laptops will have no serial port for the RS232 connection but this is resolved by using a USB serial adaptor that will allow you to connect to your USB port with the adaptor allowing you to connect to the RS232 cable needed to connect to the receiver. If you have to resort to an USB serial adaptor be sure to buy one that comes with the necessary drivers and installation instructions to get it to work on your personal computer. Most loader tools will work and recognize transfers going through COMM Ports 1-4 only. Your PC and receiver are NOT communicating...U may need to change the loader comport in the loader utility, or have the PC find the receiver thru your device manager ...shut down /unplug receiver and PC...connect receiver to PC , then boot up the loader...the PC should shake hands and communicate with the receiver now...now U can upload a new fix 144. |

sorry LK ur 2nd post was good.. keep it simple.. 144 was released and posted on website etc.. it was there because when its busy server is down, u cannot do it through remote , u can do it through serial cable. if u can do it with remote why the heck u wanna take serial cable and do it... new bin 1.44 has now 3 options.. now there are 3 ways to download... 1) u can do an upgrade through ur remote.. 2) u can do it through serial cable. 3) u can also do it through webbrowser (nfusion browser directly..).. |

That long post was an except from the thread (fta stuff) U said was BORING and too long...but it had the answer to what juan needed... anyone who owns a FTA receiver, even an Nfusion which has stand alone capability, should know how to load a bin using the cable...he may some day ned the gfactory bin or the boot file to upload...U can't put all your eggs in 1 basket and know be able to do a simple bin serila cable upload.. BTW , he was trying to upload bin 144, but only had 141 , so he couldn't do a remote bin 144 upload |

i think what happend.. that may be your internet was down, if your internet is down, ur box cannot communicate with internet, thats why it will give u error message, but you changed the setting . you shouldn't .. change the setting.. ur nfusion box automatically recongnize ur ip adress etc.. if ur box still won't communicate after rebooting ur comp, and ur internet is working properly try to do a factory reset and then try again.. |

In my country thats considered very rude...to break into a conversation and speak another language..especially when all parties speak and know English, and the converstaion has been in English all along.. Conversely, Had this been another language conversation throughout, it would be rude of me to speak English.. |

sada...not gonna argue...the nfusion can be a stand alone receiver with a PC to receiver connection with a serial cable... U don't need a wirelesss router to use it as a stand alone or upload a bin in the conventional FTA way.... |
