Hello!

my cable internet shut off & i call the cable co. & theres
a message saying theres an interuption in service.

Next day I unplug the splitter (cable tv + internet) &
plug the wall cable directly into the modem & it works!
I've tried replacing the splitter with an older splitter (which i had lying around),
Re-arranging the 2ndary cables & switching them around,
cable tv works fine but not the internet.

Do I need an amplyfier? It was working fine for 15months.
Is my signal weaker from the cable company?

Should I replace the 2ndary cables?
New splitter? Crimpers?

Plz help

Did you ever think to just call the cable company and let them fix it....after all you're paying for the service, let them fix it that's their J-O-B!

I bought the current 1, not rented so.
Should i buy the motorola sb 5101, 20 or 02?
If that doesn't work then a booster.

Sly~have them come out and verify your signals are strong enough to support the modem. If you hook it up directly without the splitter and it works, then it stops working after you connect it back to the splitter it's almost certain there is a signal issue and not a bad modem.
