About 5 yfears ago we bought a KF-50XBR800 and have been very pleased. last night the projection lamp burned out. Is 5 years a normal live for the bulb?? My main question is: Are aftermarket lamps as good as the Sony?? Are any retailers better than other??

I have a simliar model made in 05 and I only got 25 months out of my Lamp....
