Can any one help how to get STAR PLUS on CS5000.
I tried PID Scan with 12443H TP and V5666, A5667, P5666, NO LUCK
OR to add in Channel Master

I have friends with a CS 4000 or 5000. We could not do anything till the new BINs got released. I can't get in touch with them till this evening. I will post success or failure as soon as I can. |

This Will Work
MENU---> Channel List---> Channel List Manager----> Edit Channel---> and then press yellow botton ( Add Channel) and then
Change channel name
Frequency------ 12443
Video PID------ 5666
Audio PID------ 5667
PCR PID-------- 5666
and then press yes now you r good to go for Star Plus :-)
i got mine on channel 7222 but could be any channel

I have a feeling 605 might be assigned to starplus
very soon,as far as 588 i don't know,but i suggest you do blind scan.i am not at home right now,but i can check for you in the morning |

I dont think anyone is getting this channel on CS5K
It worked fine on my VS and PS
On my CS,I tried everything but all I am getting is a blank channel with no audio or video
ANybody knows how to make it work on CS5K ?? |

I was trying to help a friend who has CS5000, however Chanel List manager could not be found at all in the Menu. His menu is as follows
Menu---> Channels---> Set Favorite | Edit Channels |Move Channels | Lock Channels | Skip Channels | Delete Channels
How did you get the choices you posted -
"MENU---> Channel List---> Channel List Manager----> Edit Channel---> and then press yellow button ( Add Channel) and then ...."
Is it because you have loaded some channel manager that extends the menu?
Also tried PID scan for another channel, it first deleted other satellites then deleted all channels. Is it a problem with CS5000? |

This sorts the channels as per the transponder, looked at system info it says Boot version: 2.1 and ch version: 007, may be need a different channel version can you check yours and post |

Subash is right, I too don't see Channel List Manager. When I do menu>channels>edit channels then press yellow button, I get option to add TP and when I add 12443 then H, I get a message: "TP already exist".
I think we may not be using same factory bin as you. If so please send us a link to the factory bin that you are using. We will flash that first and then new bin 168, hopefully then we may see Channel list Manager to add NEW Channel. |

African, I got it from the same place too then how come I don't get the same options to add channel as you do???? I have posted the same quiestion on several other sites. No Luck yet... Something is missing somewhere and I'm sure someone out there knows how to fix it... Hope help will be coming soon... |

nb - the only way you can add is from
Menu---> Installation ---> PID scan
However be careful, first save the Channels from the loader, since you may loose all channels if you do PID scan. I was helping a friend and noticed CS is not stable.
nb what is your boot version and ch version from system info?
African could you please post the Boot Version and
Ch version from system info? |

PID scan did not work for me, I lost all existing channels on that TP and got few others but not Star Plus. Subash, can you explain how you were able to get Star Plus by doing PID scan.
Boot Version: 2.10 (09:14) and CH Version: E007

nb system info mentioned by my friend is:

same as yours
make sure you enter all fields in PID:
Frequency------ 12443
Video PID------ 5666
Audio PID------ 5667
PCR PID-------- 5666
however as african has said channel name may not come up |

Finally.... I got it.
I did
-->Factory Reset
-->Bilnd scan TP 12443
Got 6 channels but on TP 12445
-->Channel edit on Channel 7772 and entered 5666, 5667 & 5666 respectively where it belongs.
-->OK
Bingo! STAR PLUS appeared!!!!!
