I have a digital DVI input...my goal is to connect my laptop to my hdtv via the dvi to vga adaper. I bought an adapter with both digital and analog capabilities. My question is can I use pliers to remove the four prongs that surround the wide prong to create a digital adapter? If so will this effect performance at all?
