I have a VS 2000 ULTRA connected to a motorized dish. The motor is Digipower SG2100 DiSEQC1.2 H-H Motor. The dish was turning perfectly West to East and now does not turn. I found out that the motor has reached a point on West and does not come back. I reset the motor to zero. Now when I press Usals the receiver turns off and the motor turns off. When I turn the receiver on the motor work a second and shuts off the receiver. It killed two times my receiver. Since I know how to bring back my receiver to life it was really not a problem. My concern is why the motor does not turn on and when it is on it turns off my receiver, what should I do. I need your advise and help, thanks. |

Replace your motor and check inside viewsat ultra you are supposed to have a fuse on power supply board. Unplug the dish, switch and receiver and check with a ohmmeter if all the wire are not short. If you have a wire short your motor may be good. GOOD LUCK |

zuluma Before you replace your motor try this. (A) Have your receiver off and disconnect the wire of the motor coming from the receiver. (B) Now turn your receiver back ON and set it on a Circular Polarization Right Hand=V TP. (C) Take a volt meter and check the voltage on the receiver wire. It should read between 11.5 to 14 Volts. If it ckecks OK set your receiver to a Left Hand TP=H and your Voltage now should read between 15.5 to 19 Volts. (D) Now connect the receiver wire back on the motor. (E) Next disconnect the wire on your LNB, now with the LNB wire disconnected turn your receiver back On now do the same test as you did above on (C) CONCLUSION If above test OK you know the rest, if not report back. |
