Credit goes to JAVY_GARZA from the hispanic thread.... He posted a very easy way to DL your channel list to the pc..(in my case ,i have a lava3200 converted to pansat2700) 1. do a blind scan so u get all the channels 2. edit the channels..(what i did was erase all the crap i dont watch, need)and make sure the settings for your sats are correct. 3.plug the straight Fm to Fm db9 cable to your STB 4. open the X-87 27.02 loader and on "file type" select the "channel data file" option 5. with the receiver turned on and plugged in to the pc, click the already enabled "uupload" button 6. wait for it to say "complete" and save the channel list in the folder you want to download it back to the stb once a new bin is loaded just reopen the X-87 loader.. wait for the stb to reboot and when it gets to the screen where it says "english" and hit "download"...again wait for it to say "complete" and there u go the channels and settings will be available from the start w/o needing to do a scan again. hope it helps. |

I have seen some receivers where I do not have to reload the channel files. Channels stays there permanently. Where else on some receivers I have to setup the sats and blind scan manually. How so? I m talking about pansat/FLU converted to 2700. |

Allow STB to fully boot and display a channel before download new bin. Just wait after turning on via backswitch till the receiver displays a channel number then start the download. After download the receiver will reboot to a channel and not the language screen. |

I'm going to use Shadow45's method. Everytime I use channel master, it errors out at the end and will not read whats on the converted pansat 2700. It used to read it but not anymore. |
