I plugged in a Lacie 500 Gb external drive right out of the box, Formatted then scanned with SV8000 . I then made 3 recordings which played back flawlessly. After 4th recording, the playback was black screen all others wouldn't play either, so I used remove safetly routine and removed the usb from receiver . Now it will not recognize the drive when I hook it up . I took the drive to my computer aND IT RECOGNIZED THE DRIVE. Wat can I do know as it was working fine before . Very frustrating. Do I have to format it with my computer and if so how do I do that to Fat 32 as my XP wants to format in NTFS

have you tried doing Hard reboot of the sv8000 using its back switch ?
