A couple of years ago I purchased a new Hughes silver Edition (HIRD E1) receiver as part of a package from Circuit City. I never subscribed to any service, I just couldn't justify it vs. cable. Anyway, fast forward to today, I just ordered a four room director pack system with triple lnb. It is scheduled to be installed next week. Here is the question. I actually need 5 receivers. Should I use the HIRDE1 on the main TV and put the director pack receivers on the additional TVs or vice versa, or sell the HIRDE1 (with original card) and buy another Director Pack receiver? Thanks in advance. |

Use the current one as the fifth receiver. |

You should not use the HIRD-E1 on the main TV, it is an older model. Use it in the 5th room. |
