All of a sudden this started happening: as soon as I turn it on, it turns itself off (after 2 seconds or so). Any clues?

The model is Symphonic TVVCR19F1, about 10 yrs old but I like it and would like to keep it--don't use it much anyway. Thank you.

Yes. It will cost more than a new replacement to fix this machine.
