I was wondering if anyone could please help me. This is not my first FTA unit, so I do not consider myself to be an idiot when it comes to programming and connecting. However I have had nothing but problems since I purchased this unit. I connect to the TV as I would any other receiver and I get nothing on the TV. Total blank screen. I cannot get to the menu or anything. Perhaps I am missing something with the hook up. Would anyone have a schematic to show me just in case I am being totally stupid and missing some obvious connection? I would appreciate it. |

Thank you for the suggestion. I am presuming you mean to switch to video on my TV. I do not have it set up in that way. If I were to connect my Viewsat Plat. I would have no problem connecting. That is my problem; I get nothing with the 9000HD. I have never had this problem before and I have had several receivers. I even went as far to bringing it back to the place I bought it and they said they tested it and there was nothing wrong with it.. So I must be missing something. Basically I am attaching the Satellite cable, Regular cable and then out to TV. I do get regular cable through the receiver, but once I switch the Sat on, I have a completely blank screen. |

Why would you hook an HD receiver up via coax to tv? You wont get HD. Use HDMI or Component out to TV. |

You wont get HD using the Composite jacks. Need to use HDMI or Ypbpr. |

I am aware of the HD not working with the regular cable, I just ordered my new HD TV, and therefore this one is not so it does not matter at this point. I am just trying to get the box running. I would not think that could be the problem could it?? I am so appreciative of all of the help that is being offered. You have no idea how frustrated I have become. |

Have your tried hooking it up via the composite jacks? From reading the specs, I dont think it outputs "Sat" on the coax line. |
