I loaded the new bin file and channel file for viewsat extreme, though it said everything succesfully I get no channel displayed on the receiver. I had to do a blind scan to get the channels, can someone tell what might be wrong that I didn't get the channels when I loaded the CHA file along with new bin file? |

Sada Bhai, I tried exact same steps but even though Channel file (*cha) is succesfully downloaded, I still don't see the channel list. |

FTA Tester, I opened the file using OSEDIT and it successfully opened and I see all my favourites but when I download it on my receiver I don't see the channels at all. |

Signal is more 90%, port setting is set to COM1 and baud rate to 115200.
After doing blind scan I get all the channels. |

Yes I get all the channels and then i have to sort them again.I wanted to avoid to do the blind scan by creating the SAT file and Channel file but that didn;t work as when I loaded Channel file though it was successfull I didn;t get my channels or favourites. |

just do a factory reset, and put the satfile and channel list in from the computer....easy |

Did that too and same result. I guess may be the channel file and uploaded from STB to PC was not done right. Hence I will do it again using OSEDIT. Going by the rate of ECM I am sure it will come handy. Thanks for the help FTA Tester and Sada Bhai. |

you used the loader program to install the channel list into the receiver? |

Yes I used Loader 2, loaded the bin file and then loaded the channel file and hit PC -> STB. The download was successfull. When i turned on the reciever I saw that the new bin was there but I was not seeing any channels (and Favorites I created). |

ok for some reason the list did not "take" oh and you forgot the satfile!
factory reset, new bin, satfile, channel list,
make popcorn, watch tv |

Also when I edit the cha (Channel) file in OSEDIT I see all my favourites and the channels listed under the favourites. |
