I own a Denon DVD 757, the audio is fine for any movie that I watch from it when the dvd player is set in Video mode. I have a few albums that have been put into 5.1 when the player is set to Audio mode. I am only getting (i guess you can call) the Bottom end of the tracks.
Current connection is with Optical, and two L/R patch cords.

Wondering if using the 6 channel output (seperate patch for each audio) on the back of the machine would do anything.

I know that it is not my reciever, as it did the same on my old nfg yamaha, the NAD T163 w/nad 6 channel amp I was using, and my current Arcam avr-350.

If anyone can help out let me know.
Thanks
