Just received a Polaroid DVD recorder - hard disc drive. Definitely not knowledgable in this field. Just want to be able to record shows to the hard drive. Have no idea what different cables are (RCA, etc.). Now I have direct tv (not HDTV) going to VCR then out to regular TV. Can I just use the cables I have and replace the VCR with the DVD recorder?
