I have a samsung hdtv dlp along with comcast digital cable classic. I was wondering if there is any way to receive the local channels in HD without having to pay extra for HD package. If anyone has an answer I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.

This website gives the specs on the tv I have and mentioned above. Does it have the right tuners that will allow me to receive free HD local channels

Get an antenna. Go to antennaweb.org and see what type of antenna you need and where to point it.
