I recently purchased the sony rdr-vx525 for 2 reasons--1) upconvert existing dvd's for better viewing performance on a newly purchased HDTV, and 2) to copy family movies from VHS to DVD. The process of making DVD's is very easy and the quality is great, however,--MY PROBLEM. I am unable to duplicate the dvd. My computer dvd reader and burner (pioneer)do not recognize the newly made disk (dvd -r). I have used a -r many times on my computer to make dvd's. I am lost--do I need special software (ripping or cloning)? or a different type of recording disk? or change some setting on my sony recorder? Does anyone have an answer or a suggestion? Thank You }}
