Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I just bought a new Toshiba 42" LCD Regza, took it out of the box, connected the cable from my satellite dish and fired it up with disappointment. The picture quality is good with close-ups sometimes, but with wide shots it is awful. Football games etc. are not sharp with the wide shots. Some of the close ups look good. This is a 1080 DPI set and I was wondering if there is a setting that allows the signal to be processed from a lower quality signal. Any help would be appreciated. Tim, Ohio |

Check few basic tips Cables - Yo need an HDMI cable or RCA (RGB + W/R) - Correct settings that matches broadcast (they are usually in TV ref manual) - Set receiver for correct various resolution & aspect ratio (usually in MENU SETTINGS) Different broadcast resolution like - 480i or 480p (Yo have to know what your box uses) - 720p - 1080i When yo set your box yo have to allow it to handle changes in resolution or it won't look right. Contact your provider if unable to perform settings |

Tim, until you get a good quality High Definition signal into that 1080 display you're never going to be happy. http://www.highdefinitionblog.com/?page_id=5 |
