What would you guys do in my situation? Seating distance is 10 feet. Definitely gonna be plasma. Should I get a 42" Panasonic with 1080p or should I get a 50" Panasonic with 720p. The reasons I wouldn't get 1080p is because of simple lack of sources. My 360 will put out at 720p outta the component video cables, HDTV channels are put out at 720p and at the seating distance you'd have to sit at 5.5 feet to fully apprectiate the 1080p at 42". Therefore the 50" 720p Panasonic is pretty enticing. Especially with the higher contrast ratio then the 42". The 50" also comes with a glare reducing coating that works really well, so glare is not an issue. |

There are advantages for future growth with the 1080p model. Might also consider the 50 inch 700u which is also a 1080p model for a few dollars more. Outstanding set. |
