hi i am looking for a LCD 42'' HDTV. i am aiming towards the sharp aquos LC42D64U(i think thats the older version) or the sharp aquos LC42D72U42(i think thats the new one)

i was wondering if there is any diff. between the two and if i should go with the older version and save a couple hundred or if i should go with the new one...?

also is there anything that has the same quality as the sharp aquos for LCDs in the same price range?

one more question what is the difference between 1080p and 1080i?
