Maybe a wierd one... Recently our Samsung SV 240-X started acting up, when playing back VHS cassettes. There is no sound or picture, just snow, and the tracking does not help. The snow is different to that when the signal is lost. The head appears to be clean. If I select ''Menu'', the sound is perfect, but I have the blue background and the menu options. The unit is sending a signal to the TV and a DVD player is running through it succesfully. I have attempted to change the output frequencies, without success. The unit has been tested with cassettes previously recorded on the unit and pre-recorded tapes. The tapes recorded on the unit, play in other machines. Adjusting the position of the head, or pick-ups does not change anything. The problem started without anything being changed - from one day to the next. Any ideas out there, before I dump it? Thanks in advance!
