i have coolreceiver 5000 and also i have dishnetwork connection where i get international channels. there was free upgrade(dish person just changed the some part of dish but the position is same) by dish network people so we did it. so after that when we connected coolreceiver(after 5 days) some channels are missing and when we did re scan some channels are misiing... and some channels are coming but its coming for sometime then its going scramble channel. what to do? Please help me.. when we did re scan especially we are not getting international channels and ppv.

john johnson: It is humanly impossible to check ALL the receivers and their latest BINs - even if I had the receivers. Even checking and reading through forums to find what is the current state of affairs - that in itself is a very time consuming task.
Therefore,the best I can truthfully post is that
"GC is not working with most BINs" or
"to the best of my knowledge GC is not working" |

raksha : You should mention which BIN there is in your C00LSAT 5000, and which Sats you are attempting to scan and how many LNBs you have. If possible, give your letting on the LNB(s). |

Can anyone help me? Please my receiver keeps turning off by itself i have already turned it off in front , in back, took it off the power supply, i even reset it but as soon as i plug it to the wall supply it turns off and on , turns off and off and it could continue all day i guess , i have even left it on and the TV off , i have changed the batts on my control remote , and nothing , i have no idea what else i could do , please this has been going on for 3 days , can anyone help me or give me contructive advise on what to do , i have a norsat receiver , with the fortek and pansat program, it has the 294t bin for dishnet, please i really need help i am in blanc territory. |

could be i guess, try a different bin.
loading a file this way may not always take on the first try, could also try hit download then turn on by backswitch. |

Monica: DO NOT take off cable from back without switching off receiver.
Currently the older BIN 293T for Pansat 2500A clones is working better with key autoroll. Try up loading that BIN. Keep autoroll on with this BIN.
If you reload with 294T, keep autoroll off and manually enter the keys.
Use BL updater 1.4 -NOTHING ELSE.
If reloading of BIN is difficult, try uploading BIN 280Tor 281T, then 293T.
Always redo the User settings after a new upload, particually the date/time settings. |

Raksha: Also scanning four LNBs, takes away a fair amount of real estate (memory). It would be a good idea to remove some of the channels - the ones that are duplicate and you do not see.
Try to keep your total list of available channels to about 500 or less.
Not everybody will agree with this but if it does not hurt you why not implement it? |

I will have to disagree.If you was to Scan in only 500 Channels or less you could only Scan in EchoStar 7 on that Bird I have 334 TV and 153 Radio Stations.Today FTA Receivers have a Channel Memory (TV & Radio) 3,000, 5,000 and 10,000.

If you're getting some "Bad or Scrambled Channel" message, then please turn OFF your receiver from the back and turn it back ON after 10 seconds. Or turn OFF your receiver from the back, disconnect the satellite cable, then reconnect the cable after 5 seconds and turn ON your receiver after 5 seconds. And, make sure you have the latest bin and keys. |

c-p: About a year and a half ago this same thing happened before all the stb's went down. The DN provider is testing the impact of the ECM on certain channels and will probably add more channels to the list of blackouts. Stand by for a new update to fix this situation. He too tests his recievers to see if his updates work. Just keep in mind this hobby is about testing aftermarket recievers and by law the providers have to try to keep us testing. |

Guys, read above. It´s not a key issue. There are changes in DN. You need to read and understand that the way DN scrambles its signal, is different.
You need to install the latest bins. Check around in these posts, there are several fixes already for several boxes. |

If you haven`t been following what´s been going on with BEV from Canada, similar to DN, they have been changing keys and streams.
Currently, BEV has four different sets of keys to be able to watch different programming.
Now DN has two sets of keys, one for PPV and Adult channels, and other for the rest.
It is speculated that DN will have other key sets for NFL and other programming.

New rules for DN:
Before, there was only one key, entered in CAS: Nagravision; Ident: Dish Network 0001 or 0101, then enter the keys in 10 (86) or 20 (96)
Today, DN has introduced a second key, enterd in CAS: Nagravision; Ident: Dish Network 0106, then enter the keys in 10 (86) or 20 (96).
In order to be able to enter the new set of keys, you need to install a new bin, since older ones have capacity for only one set of keys.
And beware that maybe DN will introduce other keys, such as BEV that has four keys, for different channels |

but pansat 2500 does not have new bins and i dont want to convert it to 2700....how about for viewsat xtreme do u have to put these codes in and change the provider ID from 01 01 to 0106 what is the procedure for this? please help me |

I look for them in these sites, some require registration, but are free.
Look for your box brand and model. Also, you will find information on how to download and install.
Be sure to get the latest bin (software) according to your model, and also, be sure to get the loader with instructions.
In order to install the bin, you need another piece of software called loader, also found where you get the bins. You need a cable, usually a 9 pin null or printer cable, found at any Radio Shack, to connect your computer to the satellite receiver to install the software.

Basic knowledge:
FTAs need software in order to work. These software codes are called bins.
Depending on the model and brand of your box, you will need a very specific bin, or software. For example, if you have a view sat, you need a bin for that box, if you use a bin for PanSat, your box will not work.
Steps:
1. Find the correct bin:

2. Also, find other piece of software, called loader, to be found in the same place as the bins.
3. Read tha instructions, found also at the sites
4. Launch the loader in your computer.
5. Turn off the satellite box. Connect a 9 pin null or printer cable found at any Radio Shack from your computer to your satellite box.
6. Turn on the satellite box.
7. Follow instructions on the loader, it will verify the software installed in your box, then it will ask you to direct it to the new bin you downloaded,
8. It might seem hard, but its really easy.
check ftabins*net for instructions on your specific brand.
Rembember some words are restricted, thats why I write them different so I am able to post it |

Be patient, for some strange reason, Cool sat bins are the last to roll out, usually one day after the viewsat bins are released.

Echo 3 is down. Echo 8.1 - PPVs are down, but many others channels working.
AV in this forum is reporting than converted Flu to 2700 are also similarly down. |

There are NO new Working Viewsat files released anyplace yet!...some clown posted bogus ones, and some sites NEVER checked them out originally and posted them...ftabins was one of those.....its impossible to stop people from posting bogus files, but I myself wil not post any file until I know its a good one!....
ONLY new working ESPN and other DN channel fix files now are out and posted are at...
