THIS is getting out of hand!!! THERE is NO fix yet for the new provider ID for VS!!! WHEN one comes out it will be tested and POSTED in the appropriate files forum. IF you want to be notified go the the files forum and SUBSCRIBE, (YOU will get an email when the fix is posted).
The NEXT person who starts a NEW thread asking if a fix is out or their VS is DOWN is GOING ON VACATION!!!!!

for the 2500 there is a software fix to change the firmware to a 2700. but with that change there is also a "special" bin that needs to be made for these "special" stbs. |

BIN is short for a BINary file. That is the one loaded into a rewritable memory in your receiver, called flash ROM. It makes the receiver work properly. Now and then a new BIN is published and available on various sites on the internet. You upload it into your receiver using another software called a loader or uploader.
Each receiver has different BIN and uses a different uploader. You need a special cable - one of the two types, either a RS232 straight or a null modem. Always get the instructions from the site where you get your files.
As of now, the sites are all busy, and if you not already a member, you might not get into the site. |

GC stands for Globe Cast I believe??? If you speak English, walk upright and live in North America, then you do not need it. Truth of the matter they probably both work for you, but the one that has no GC would be my choice.... |

There are Clone fixes for the Pansat 2700 and 3500...and for genuine receivers..
Since Pansat and Team Blacklist no longer support the 2500, there will never be support again for 2500 clones!
The sonicview fixes at totalFta are in fact good and working..
There still are NO viewsat or coo*lsat fixes yet!
There is NO converted 2500-2700 fix yet! |

how do i load the new pansat files in to receiver what loader do i use. i try to use
X-87BL Loader v27.02[X-87BL].exe and i load the files. Then i started the reciver and click on download but its only says "Downloading......"
it does not do anything. do i have to wait for some time or what? |

DN version of 290T is working the same as 293T - in a limited way with the locals on 119W, ABC, NBC, PBS, etc. Even VOD is working. No PPV.
All of Echo 3 (61.5W) does not work with 290T or with 293T or 294T. |

Nah nothing yet! Don't worry it will be plastered all over the place once it breaks. The only thing is, it's not a sure thing! The J-man posted a message a few weeks back that this is getting old. Everyone wants the bin but few offer to help in the project. It sounds like he is getting burnt-out and may drop the project but who knows. |

Buy the Ultra or sonicview 4000....or conexsat mini...all are good...eaglestar 2500 is basically NFG, unless u convert it to a 2700 clone...but jvvh is no longer making the modded bins..and expects others to do it, based on his teachings.. |

harcharan singh : The Eaglestar is a Pansat 2500 clone. In this forum there are many threads about converting Pansat 2500 and clones to a Pansat 2700. As of now, these conversions work well.
Whether or not you wish to live with this uncertainty of support is entirely your decision. You can just discard your Eagle star and buy one of the following receivers
Viewsat Ultra - about $180
Sonicview 4000 - about $165
Captiveworks 600P- about $105
The first two have USB and serialinput for new fiels
The last one has only serial input. |
