I have a 42" LCD HDTV connected to Cox digital HD cable. When a program is viewed in 4:3, resulting in the black vertical panels, a few lines of white pixels, consistent with the width of the picture, appear at the top of the TV screen. The pixels disappear wh the same progam is switched to full screen. Is the issue the signal or the TV? Any solutions?

Program larger than your screen setup
I'm assuming you are talking about digital Cable with QAM tuner

I would do channel scan first. Let the tuner recognize digital or analog chan. Option should be on your Menu botton of remote.

If yo got cable box or Satellite box yo'll need different setup depending on your service.

If this doesn't help then List:
- TV model
- Service yo got (Satellite/Cable or OTA antenna)
- Type of connection etc.
