i just bought a vhs/dvd player and it does not have a cable hook up on it? what other ways can i hook it up to a tv to be able to record tv shows? the vhs/dvd player is insignia. |

That Insignia does not have an internal tuner, so there's no need for an antenna/cable hookup. Nice, huh? You have two alternatives: 1) Take that dog back and buy a DVD/VHS combo that does have a tuner (most do). 2) Upgrade you cable service to a cable box. At least then you can record from the box's composite out to the Insignia's composite input. But even that might not work unless you're home as it may not have a clock or timer-record feature on it. |
