I'm reading conflicting info on this issue. I have a Pansat 2500 Clone, and hoping to get it working, I know I can watch DN if I repoint, but I have a minimal setup, one LNB, no switch, 18" Sat, and I like BEV for the hockey. I have a couple of questions: Do I really need an original Pansat 2500 remote to control the unit after conversion? http://www.dss*ookie.com/forums/img-src-images-pansat-png-border-0-b-font-color-0000ee-pansat- font-discussion-b/after-converting-152896.html Will I have to wait for a compressed version of the 2700 bin? I would assume so since the 2500 has 1MB and the 2700 has 2MB, and since I am converting a clone, will I have to wait for a clone safe compressed version of the 2700 bin? Read the following if you like, these posts are causing the confusion. http://www.dss*ookie.com/forums/img-src-images-pansat-png-border-0-b-font-color-0000ee-pansat- font-discussion-b/2500-to-2700-a-153461.html http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/2/386231.html And yes, I know I should just upgrade my reciever, and I will, I just want to see what happens with this BEV revision before I spend any money, and I actually inherited this Pansat and its worked great, so if I can continue to use it that would be great. |
