Look under Pantec or under Fortec Ultra for 293T BIN. Use Straight RS232 DB9 F/F cable and BL updater 1.4. Wherever you get your BIN, make sure you download the instructions and follow them explicitly.

veryevilnip: Make sure you have the 293T BIN. for genuine Pansay 293 is OK, but I always recommend the 293T BIN for Pansat 2500 and clones.
Make sure you have the correct date and time and time zone.
Turn the autoroll on and autoTP off, then do a set default keys and switch off at the back and turn it on. Let the keys roll in. Then make sure you turn autoroll off and autoTP off for normal viewing. |

I do not have specific knowledge of key entry on Fortec star platinum.
Usually you go into Parental control and enter the second Pin as 0000 or something specific for the receiver.
Keys are entered in Nagravision 2, and under provider ID 0101 for DN and Provider ID 0901 for BEV |

Hi
This is my first time to post a massage on this site.I have Viewsat 2000 Platinum receiver. I was getting all the chanells for last six months. I was changing the keys when ever it needed. Two days ago keys were changed. I changed the keys but no picure. Now i am getting the signal but after a while I am losing it. If the turn the back switch of the receiver off and on the signal comes back again.
Can anyone help me please. |

lugman...U do NOT have the "parental control" option to get 2nd pin/password because U MUST scan (or upload a channel list) the satellites first to enable that option to appear...think about it, why would receiver need to have parental controls, if U have no channels input/scanned into the receiver to control.. |

keys are correct...operator error is usually 99% of most problems..If U can't put gas in your car...or correct keys in the receiver, then U shouldn't be driving.. |

Switch off at the back, wait for 30 seconds and switch on. If this does not work, post details of you your receiver and BIN. |

BIN File is 289T and its Panset reciever. Can you help me in fixing the problem? |

I have a pansat 2500 clone and my question is the New Keys are not working. I have power cycle my receiver.
By the way, what is the provider ID, that comes on top column in Niagravision 2, where we enter the new keys. Thanks. |

i have a DV3 (pretty old) receiver, all of my asian channels are showing up red in the guide, well i can`t see any channels. Now i have tried the keys NALIN posted, but these are the same keys since -7/12/07
Can anyone help me fix this, i use Jeepers and ATMEGA128 to program my card.
ANYONE PLEASE HELP |

Sidhu: Glad you are up and running. Latest BIN for Pansat 2500 clones is 293T. 289T will work fine but does not autoroll.
In general, it is best to keep autoroll and autotp off. When new keys appear, turn auto roll on, switch off at back and then swithc on and the new keys will roll in about 90% of the time. |
