SamS: So did the same thing happen to you? Did the 119 dish channels completely disappear with no signal? Was it fixed when you switched the wire or connected the wires directly to the receiver? Thanks alot for your help. |

to aligh the dish (skew etc) use the sat calculators in the "recommended reputable sites' thread here... your disque settings should be whatever LNB type u have, and determined by how u ran the cables... Are u pullin out chains, or just haven't read 1 thing?...your questions show a total lack of reading.. |

Rat: As a matter of convention, Echo 7 (119W) is usually set to DisEqC Port #1 Echo 8.1 (110W) is usually set to DisEqC Port #2 It does not always have to be so on all LNBs but best to follow convention. If you haver additional sats and 4 to 1 DisEqC switch , use Port #3 and #4 for the other SAT/LNBs Satellite Angle Calculators http://www.satellitenut.com/calculators/SatelliteHeading.html http://www.remotesat.com/lookangle.htm |

I am no expert here. My Pansat 3500SD gave out on me. I checked everything; keys, cables, settings, etc... But nothing. Then I did a simple autoroll (press set default key, turn off via back switch, turn on and wait for keys to roll). Now everything is fine. I hope this helps. |

Congrats...usually simple solutions like that, especially a reboot, is the answer...and enabling your autoroll...or a manual key input SAVED, and a reboot..and patience and perserverance.. |

rat...learn how to use the internet and site forums/message boards... U do NOT post the same thing 3 times...MOST sites will ban U for that! U do READ before U post! U ONLY post issues that are related to the thread subject...in this case "new keys"... What U have done is STEALING aka "hijack" this thread... |

Ha Ha. I have read about 50 of your posts that don't have anything to do with the site thread. Correction, 10214 of your posts. You should be banned for your negativity. Also, I read the basics and I don't see anywhere where it talks about the down freq. Also, read all the other requests. Don't you see other questions other than new keys? Your an idiot. |

Rat: LK is fossilized in the old days of hobbyists trying to hack BINs. People like him will never understand that this is no longer a hobby, but simply a new gadget to view TV. I have not understood your problem, rat. However, Kevin will probably answer it. Ignore LK - he is pest. |

U, on the other hand, are a WASTE here and contribute nothing but your ego!...U intentionally seek me out, then ridicule me for educating a newbie...U should leave here permanently..U are of no value to newbies or the regulars here!...hell, nobody even likes U either! |

LK: rat asked a question. You obviously did not have an answer to you except your usual "go and read". YOU go and read and then come back answer. In the meantime, get off this thread where you have nothing to contribute except your rudeness. |

LK, I would have never copped an attitude if I wasn't disrespected. All you had to say was that you didn't know the answer and I should research. Better yet, you didn't have to say anything at all. I admit, I am a newbie here. Does that mean that I don't deserve respect when posting a question? If so, I will just find another forum to ask my questions, no biggie. It's cool. This aint my life. |

Nalin First, thank you for the keys. Second I have a pansat 2500A and I use bin 289. The problem is when I turn the receiver on from th button in the back, I have to wait form 2 to 15 mins until it works. Also, it sometimes turns off alone and to work again I have to wait again 2 to 15 min. By the way, I was using the bin 293T but it made the same problems in addition it was freezing every time I change the chanel. Therefore I decided to use 289. Do u have any solution. |

W: Use 293T, but keep the autoroll and autotp off, except when it is obvious new keys are trying to come in. At that time turn autoroll on, switch off at the back and then switch on. With your current set up, start first with 280T and then go to 293T. During changes, make sure you take care of user setup and if necessary rescan using blind scan. Happy viewing.. |

Nalin and LK, I want to thank both of you for your suggestion of getting a used DN receiver and hook it up. I did and now all my channels are back normal. My dish has been running fine for 2 days now after a week of interruption. If you recall, I lost the signal on all the channels. Keep up the good work. |

Hey everyone, I was wondering where i could find all the full names of the stations from the sat. channels. For example, IMF stands for International Music Feed. But how about the others? (because not all full names appear in that blue bar after selecting the channel) |

With Pansat 2700, you need to install Boot B-75 using loader 27.02, followed by Bin 203. This info is for genuine Pansat 2700. Read at http://www.future-fta.info http://www.dssrookie.com http://www.al7bar*tk |

I am going to be away for a week's holiday and am unlikely to have access to Internet. If you have questions, please post them open for anybody to answer. |

Jeff: Here's what you'll need: Null modem cable (probably got one with your receiver) Loader v1.06 or v1.05 (you can use either) Latest bin (currently v1.42) (download these from a fta site.) Here's what you do: 1. Download loader and bin to your computer. Unzip the bin and copy it to somewhere you can find it easily when browsing from your loader. 2. With the receiver turned off on the rear switch, connect it to your computer via the null cable. 3. Put your machine into either (a) STANDBY or (b) BOOT mode (you can load it either way). (a) To get it to STANDBY mode, turn the receiver's rear switch ON, and when you see 00:00 on the display, turn OFF using the FRONT button; you will then see --:-- (STANDBY). (b) To get to BOOT mode, hold the front power button, and turn the rear switch ON; you will see "boot" displayed. 4. Open the loader and browse for the bin where you saved it unzipped. Select it and click start. 5. Wait until you see "end", then you can power off the receiver and disconnect from computer. You have successfully upgraded your software! ------------- Now to scan for channels! Hook your receiver up to your TV and connect the coaxial cable from your dish(es) to the LNB IN connector. When you first turn it on, it will take you through an few automated setup procedures, like language choice, and so on. Now if you were to go into the menu>installation>antenna setup, and try to chose your sats, you may notice they are all screwed up, and trying to chose them will cause the receiver to reboot. You must first of all do a factory default. Go to menu>installation>factory default. You will now be able to chose your satellites and setup values. switches, etc. You can setup the values for each sat separately if you wish, and scan each. However, the easiest way, especially for a first time user, is to simply go to menu>installation>easy tuning. You can use the down button to navigate between fields, and the right/left to select the desired value/sat/switch. You can use easy tuning to scan your channels if you have only one LNB, or if you have up to 4. A typical screen for 4 sats might look like this after you've chosen the desired values: Status Satellite Diseqc LNB freq ON----- Echo 7----- 1----- 11250 ON----- Echo 8,10-- 2----- 11250 ON----- Nimiq 1,3-- 3----- 11250 ON----- Nimiq 2---- 4----- 11250 Any ports you don't use, just set the status to OFF. Now press OK and choose either FAST TUNING or AUTO TUNING to scan your sat(s). Fast tuning uses preconfigured tp/channel data, while auto tuning actively also looks for new data; it is recommended you use AUTO TUNING. Note: at this time it appears that scanning multiple satellites renders a number of EPG channels listings as "prog xxxx" (where xxxx is the number of the channel) rather than the proper channel name or abbreviation. It is best then to simply autoscan (red button) each sat separately. You can do this from the easy tuning menu or the installation menu. After one scans in, just change the sat name to the next one you want to scan, make sure other settings are correct, and scan. After your receiver finishes scanning, exit menus and go to any channel. Now you will perform the final step: enabling the patch (the top secret function that allows you to watch scrambled channels!). Press F1 You will see "H" Input "000" The patch is now enabled! Now just sit on a scramble channel and wait for the autoroll function to grab the active key. If you have both DN and Bev sats, you will need to go to a channel for each to await autoroll (remember Bev takes a little longer, six minutes or more). You will see it grabbing the keys, wait for it to grab both sets; reboot unit if necessary if it remains scrambled after grabbing the keys, or if audio is not present. Now open a beer and watch TV! |

Can someone tell me what happened to my lifetime. I keep it on all the time and this morning i go look at it and it doesnt turn on anymore. No lights come on but i her a clike sound when i turn it on and off from the back. I haven't changed bins or done anything to this box for months. Is there a fix for it or is it time to change it. |
