Amina Firdous and others. The proper functioning of your receiver is dependent on many factors. aprt from the obvious such as connections and power supply there are many other factors. Do you have the latest BIN in your receiver? Was you receiver working and when last? Can you install new keys manually if the auto roll does not work? I have posted the latest working keys. You have to make sure that you have those keys - both Key 00 and Key 01 for the appropriate provider ID. If after trying everything and turning off the receiver at the back and turning it on. you still do not get a picture, posts some details including make and BIN and what sat you are scanning. Then only somebody can reply. |

For working receiver, if keys don't autoroll properly, you should do the following:- 1. Set autoroll off. 2. Set default keys. 3. Go into nagravision 2 and install keys manually for DN (ID 0101) or BEV (ID 0901) as appropriate. 4. Make sure you install both Key 00 and key 01. Make sure you SAVE. 5. Turn switch off and on at the back. DN keys have changed three times in the last two days. The current DN keys are: Key 0 (86): 38 8A 36 42 7A 92 AF 15 4F A3 CB 1F 69 73 99 44 Key 1 (96): 9C D6 1B 5E 63 8A 3C 11 83 4C 5D 4D AC 89 BA 2F |

Hello, I am currently trying to download a bin onto my receiver. Details: Pansat 2500A, Bin # X-85BL_070411_293_api.bin, Blacklist Updater v1.4 Questions: 1) Is this the most current bin out there? Looked, but couldn't find a newer one 2) When I am trying to write the bin onto my receiver through the uploader, nothing is happening. It's just basically showing a small screen that shows 0% downloading. Am I doing something wrong here? Receiver is on from the back, checked to ensure that the RS232 cable is tightly connected in the back. No downloading, therefore, there is no progress. Help, please... Thanks, Jagga |

1...yes, 293 is newest or can use 293T bin 2...make sure U have correct cable (straight NOT null modem...they look the same but are not...and sometimes the dealer will ship the wrong one)...and be persistent and do not just try a couple of times...and U should power ON the rear switch immediately after U select download.. I suggest u go to www.future-fta.info and join FREE, then read the STICKYS oh "How To", and manuals...its the best Pansat site , most all Pansat members and files there...with a forums and chat, I believe.. |

BTW...also REMEMBER the files are usually compressed into a .ZIP file, and U MUST unzip it(www.win-zip.com) and extract the BIN file from the ZIP file, and then upload/download ONLY that BIN file into your receiver.. |

Hello, I recently changed the bin on my Pansat 2500. Thanks for your help in assisting me. My receiver now is showing the words "ON", on the front of the receiver. I am unable to access "Menu" from the remote control. As a matter of fact, I am unable to access nothing. The TV screen is black. Any advice on what I need to do? Should I reload the bin? Thanks in advance... |

merajuddin You need the latest BIN file. You will need to join the forum as a free member. You do not need to pay to join most forums. http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/b-font-color-cd2626-lifetime-files-font-b/classi c-na-file-135352.html Other forums also carry the same files. http://www.totalfta.com http://www.dssevolution.com You will also need the instructions from the site where you get the file and an uploader. Astraight RS232 F/F DB9 cable is needed. Do not use instructions or files meant for Fortac Lifetime Ultra - they are different. Make sure you unzip files before loading. Also read some other information and some discussions on your your receiver. Your receiver is now nearly defunct, and you will soon need to upgrade to a better receiver. |

Merajuddin, as stated above, make sure you use software intended for YOUR model: Lifetime Classic NA. But not as stated above to use BL loader 1.4: use instead the DN Upman loader. You can find software for your model always here: http://www.al7bar-soft1.com/FTA/LIFE%20TIME%20CLASSIC-%20NA/LIFE%20TIME%20CLASSI C-NA%20MAIN.htm The latest bin is May 4. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE "NTSC" SOFTWARE, NOT "PAL"! FYI: bin = a "binary" file you load to your receiver factory bin = file issued from manufacturer for a specific receiver. Allows only true free to air reception. It can be used to reset your receiver if something goes amiss, or too simply start clean before loading a new file. rar = an archived / compressed file container format. Like .zip files. Bins and other files are frequently uploaded onto websites, etc. in compressed format for convenience. You always need to unzip / uncompress bins if they are in that format before loading to a receiver. |

Again nalin provides wrong info, and tells a newbie to use the pansat loader BL 1.4 for a Fortec Classic receiver...LMAO nalin greatest hits just keep piling up!....this just proves more that she is a non FTA person, and a narc for the authorities! |

DN Upman loader suggested by therepo is commented upon by DN Upman as follows:- "Found working loader for LIFETIME CLASSIC NA Just like the title says. I was trying to find one forever and the one stickied is not the right one." To make it easier to understand - Sticky is the common title given to a sort of an authority on the subject. In this case the Sticky had posted a loader for Fortec Classic which did not work properly and DN Upman had found one that did and he posted it. Therepo has given a correct URL for the loader. The following is an alternative site for the same. http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/b-font-color-cd2626-lifetime-files-font-b/found- working-loader-for-lifetime-classic-na-129092.html Found working loader for LIFETIME CLASSIC NA DnUpMan_NTSC_050408.zip (471.8 KB,) I should strongly recommend that all Fortec Lifetime Classic owners should seriously consider changing to another receiver, because this is not a well supported receiver. |

There are good autoroll BINs for most of the receivers and the autoroll works well on DN and BEV. There have been 3-4 keys changes on DN in the last 3-4 days. If you are having problems: Always try switching off at the back then wait 30-40 seconds and turn it on again – it may solve your problems. Always make sure that you have the correct date and time and time zone in your user settings. If you do not have the latest BIN, do manual input of latest keys, or load the latest BIN for your receiver. If your autoroll did not work, turn the autoroll feature off, then do “set default keys” and then manually input the keys. As a last resort, do a factory reset, load the factory BIN and then the latest BIN. When you do a factory reset, you may lose all the user settings and you will have to restore the user settings and switch connections and do rescan, depending upon the receiver you have. |

Nalin, I'm new to FTA. Just got connected on Monday and everyday I have had to manually change the keys. Is this common? I have a Pansat 2500A. The guy that hooked me up didn't secure my dish properly, so I constantly have to go outside and move until I get a signal. Not very happy with what I purchased up to this point. |
